This project is funded by Broadland District Council through the Future for Nature Fund
The Parish Council is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a £5,000 Future for Nature Fund Grant from Broadland District Council. This funding will support the first year of a five‑year restoration project in the Woodland Walk, aimed at improving biodiversity, enhancing habitats, and ensuring this area continues to thrive for both wildlife and the local community.
The first phase of practical conservation work will be carried out by The Conservation Volunteers (TCV), who will be on site on 27th and 29th January undertaking essential habitat management tasks.
TCV invite local residents to join them on either day. Volunteers are welcome to meet the team at 10.45am at the northern (Low Common) end of the site. No previous experience is required — just suitable outdoor clothing and a willingness to get involved.
To help us coordinate numbers, please contact the Parish Clerk to register your interest. Your details will then be passed on to TCV so they know to expect you.
